After another miscarriage and struggling to hold her relationships together, Regina is blindsided when her long dormant alter ego reawakens. What begins as a crack in her reality quickly threatens to unravel her fragile life.
Synopsis
Regina is an intimate story about a woman caught between who she has been told to be and who she truly is. After another miscarriage, she finds herself unable to recognise her own life and body. Her long buried alter ego surfaces and forces her to confront everything she has avoided for years.
Blending dark humour, surreal fantasy, and emotional honesty, the film explores the difficult but necessary work of listening to yourself, reclaiming your identity, and allowing painful truths to surface.
“A story born from doubt, written from the heart.”

Directing Regina offered a chance to explore the space between inner world and outer reality. From the first conversation with Kristina, it was clear this story needed honesty and a visual language that could hold both stillness and disruption.
Filmed over three intense days in Singapore with a local cast, we aimed to create an environment where emotional truth could unfold naturally. The surreal and grounded elements mirror Regina’s psychological landscape and allow each silence and shift in expression to carry weight.
It has been a privilege to bring this story to life with a team who met the work with heart, care, and dedication.

I wrote Regina at a time when I had lost confidence in myself. I did not feel beautiful. I did not feel smart. I felt empty. That fracture created this script. A reminder. A return.
Regina tells the story of a woman who has been asked to face her anger. It lives inside her, it speaks to her, it pushes her, and it protects her. Their relationship is painful and intimate and reflects the way many of us live with parts of ourselves we do not fully understand.
Every story I write begins with a question that refuses to stay quiet:
Am I enough just the way I am? Can I stop fixing myself to meet expectations? Can I let go and still be worthy of love and belonging?
If Regina offers one message, I hope it is this:
Listen to your heart, your body, and your emotions. They are not the enemy. They are the guide.
